Advancing COVAXIN from Phase I Through Launch

Challenge

Bharat Biotech undertook the development of a COVID-19 vaccine during a global public health emergency. The program required rapid patient enrollment, execution across all clinical phases, and strict adherence to regulatory and safety standards under unprecedented operational pressure. Success depended on a team capable of delivering speed and quality while managing extreme complexity.

Solution

The InoRx SRM Team, operating within SRM at the time, supported the COVAXIN program end to end, from Phase I through launch, providing enrollment, study conduct, and comprehensive site management services. The team leveraged established hospital and investigator networks to drive enrollment, maintained consistent study conduct despite pandemic disruptions, proactively resolved operational challenges under compressed timelines, and coordinated closely with investigators, sponsors, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure compliance and alignment. This work reflects the same leadership, operating model, and execution discipline that now define InoRx.

Results

The program was successfully executed across all clinical phases, from Phase I through launch, with strong enrollment performance during a public health emergency, timely achievement of critical study milestones, and support for the successful launch of one of India’s first indigenously developed COVID-19 vaccines.
